Volcano 7 & Manual control

How do I manualy control the speed of my Volcano 7? I want to replace the thermal sensor for some sort of manual control. What should I do?

What you would be looking for is called a Rheobus. There are several commercially available models on the market or you can search the Web for a DIY (do it yourself) guide and make your own.

Just cut off the sensor bulb and solder the 2 wires together, now ya fan is a normal full speed fan.

But then you can't manually control the speed of the fan. :shrug:

Unless ya remove the temp sensor and enable full speed operation of the fan then the rheobus will be useless. ;)

Yes that's all that's really needed once ya remove the temp sensor from the fan.
