  • Northbrige temp

my motherboard is a MSI K7N2-Delta ILSR
my northbrige temp is currently 40C with the case off
the processor temp is 42C under full load
    case temp is 28C
    room temp is 27C
is the northbride temperature acceptable as it seems too high especially considering the largeish stock MSI HSF

Your HSF doesn't have a direct affect of the cooling of your northbridge. If you have a passive cooler on your ND with a fan blowing in that vacinity, it might lower the temp.
Although in my experience 40c for a Northbridge is not bad.

Are you experiencing any problems from this? If not. If its' not broke, don't fix it.
    Regards,
    Chez

the HSF i was talking about was the NB cooler
the only reason i wanted to know if it was an acceptable temp is because i want to overclock my processorbut dont want the NB overheating because of the higher FSB
