    anybody know how to increase fan rpm. i can't change it from bios.

    you mean like make 2400RPM fan go faster?
    Cuz, in theory you could do that if you attach the ground wire to the -5v or -12v rail, but dont know if the fan can handle it.

    If the fan is adjustable (like TT Smartfan2) they have a little pot that speeds up/slows down the fan or can be controled by a temp sensor.
    So I guess it all depends. :shrug:

      no my chs fan will sound like it's hauling balls at first startup but then it slows down to around 1400rpm.

        is it attached to the mobo?
        if so thats your problem. attach it to the 4pin molex.

          if they are attached to the "Fan Only" molex plugs from the PSU, then plug them into a normal molex plug if you want them to run at full speed 24/7
