  • After Market Cooling for 9800 XT

I have a Asus 9800 pro flashed to a XT and im looking for some good cooling for the GPU that does NOT use the mini 3 pin connector located on the graphics card. Apparently the connector in my board is faulty so I would have to send it in and then the people at asus would find out about the flashing and be mad etc. So I'm looking for some good after market cooling that will probably use molex for power. My GPU temp is 48.8 C idle and about 60 C under workload. I was using the Thermaltake Giant3 but it is extremely loud/big/flimsy/annoying. Thanks.

You can always get a socket 370/462 1U server heatsink.. drill some holes mount it your self. It's what i did. Or you can just flash it back to the pro status, and send it to asus.

Good idea, never thought about that...
I'm just too much of a woman to drill into the board and make new slots.

He meant drilling the 1U heatsink to suit the holes in the board.
