Excuse me if i sound ignorant, but what's the difference between the 875 chipset and the 865?

875 chipset will be a little faster because of its improved memory bandwidth, but it isnt huge. It is within 5% of the 865PE.

To overclock you need to get into your BIOS and adjust the FSB. The default number is going to be 200, and your multiplier is 15. 200x15=3000mhz.
