  • Cant Achieve a previous 3.8 ghz OC on UD5 with I7 920

I used warren300's guide http://i49.tinypic.com/5fkahs.jpg to get to 3.8ghz (thanks :)) and ran with it for two weeks with no problems. I then had to RMA my PSU and while waiting bought an Intel SSD and also a 3rd stick of RAM to bring the total to 6GB, Reinstalled everything else once i got it all delivered and thought it maybe a good idea to flash the BIOS to F11. Bad idea after this it all went down hill, i couldnt achieve a stable boot so flashed back to F10 and still cant get a stable boot any ideas why? I really need some help as its driving me crazy

PS the comp starts but will not post at all with these setting now

    Many Thanks

Well 6GB is differant than 4GB, that's likely the issue.

Please give us your full settings you are trying using a template from my signature, then we can advise back.

Re: Cant Achieve a previous 3.8 ghz OC on UD5 with I7 920

4Ghz should be easy if your cooler can keep up. For now I will help you get back to 3.8 with 6GB, please either set these settings from 3.2 with all 6GB in or set these with only 4GB in save and apply, go to windows and shut down then put in the remaining memory.

        Code:
        Advanced CPU Features:
        CPU Clock Ratio ................................ [20x] 3.78
Intel(R) Turbo Boost Tech .................. [Enabled]
        CPU Cores Enabled ............................ [All]
        CPU Multi Threading .......................... [Enabled]
CPU Enhanced Halt (C1E) ................... [Enabled] << Disabled
