    No not always, sometimes it will wait to crash on you until you are almost finished with a huge important document and have no saved it yet!

    So it's always best to test for stability before you start having crashes, so you don't end up loosing important data.

    You can test with memtest86+, Prime95, OCCT, HCI Memtest, LinX, ect there are tons of programs to test for stability.
