I've had a play about with my new computer and managed to nearly get 4.8GHz out of it
. It runs alright but when i run Prime95 for about 3 mins some errors show up. It doesn't seem to affect the running of the computer but i would like to get it stable under stress testing just for piece of mind. So far it's a very basic overclock, here is what i've changed;
Multiplier - x48
Vcore - 1.33v
Disabled - turbo boost, C1E, C3/C6 state support, CPU thermal monitor, EIST
manually set RAM to 1600MHz
Thats it so far, i'm wondering at this speed would i need to set the LLC to extream or adjust the PLL to stabalise the system?
Here is a little pic of when i started testing before the faults showed up on Prime;
