  • How 80mm fan on 60mm HS?

I have an Globalwin SAK HS with a 60mm 7000rpm Delta fan on it which is driving me nuts, making much more noise than the 4 quiet 80mm fans which cool my case. It stays pretty cool at the moment, 45 on load, so I want to keep the cooler with an 80mm fan, has anyone done this? Or have any idea how?

I have also looked at ducting from one of my 80mm's on the case to the top of the HS, drawing air from outside directly onto the heat sink, but am not sure about this either. Any help??

The fitment of 80mm fans to these heatsinks usually results in much higher temps due to extra turbulence created in the adaptor. A Volcano 7+ would help both your cooling and hearing as these only need to be run at medium speed. :devil win
