Unlocking AMD multiplier

I am building my first computer and will eventually overclock. All the guides I've read said that the L1 bridges on the XP's were laser cut and you had to fill the gap before connecting the bridges. I picked up a 2400+ at a local show and there's no gap. Am I missing something? Did I get ganked or is this normal? Pls help

You are reading the guides for Thunderbird/Spitfire/Palamino/Morgan core processors and Thoroughbred are different from them. To unlock the 12.5 and lower multipliers you just need to bridge the last L3 bridge (the one furthest from the "L3" label) but for other multipliers go here for the combinations. :devil win
