Overclocking

I recently changed my clock speed in bios to 355mhz, would this damage the processor because it wouldn't boot afterwards so I re-booted the computer afterwards and it reset, it doesn't seem to be damaged but how can you tell?

P4 2.4ghz 400mhz FSB

It shouldn't hurt it which is why it wouldn't boot till ya cleared the CMOS. Ya just over did the memory limit not the CPU. ;)

It was the CPU Clock Speed that I adjusted if that makes any difference
