  • amd 2000 xp pcchips motherboard

    just built a new tower with amd 2000xp on a pccips motherboard,
    256 sd ram

    in the bios settings i noticed the cpu speed is 1350

    can I increase this and to what speed

    Make sure your FSB setting is for 133 (or higher for overclocking)
    note: the 2000+ and any other athlon XP's don't actually run at there number (eg 2000Mhz), but thats there equivalant speed.

      yer ur right
      amd started out playing the numbers game .......IE we will call the new chip a xp2000 so peeps will think its a 2ghz chip ......
      hear are the setting i hope most are right
      xp1500 == 1.33mhz......xp1800== 1.53mhz........xp2000 == 1.67mhz......xp2400 == 1.9 mhz ...... i think......:o

        Firstly, GHz, not MHz. Secondly, 2400+ and above use a new number scheme. 2400+ is a 2.0GHz chip.
