TV-Out problem on 9800pro

The image is good on the TV but there's white tiny lines crossing
the screen all the time...

I've used the TV-OUT before with another card (also a radeon)
and no problem. I also tried all formats (PAL, NTSC...)

Try a different cable and make sure thats not the problem, also make sure you have the latest drivers. If its not one of those things its probably your card.

apparently it's all over anandtechs forums.....run a search and take your pick..........some sort of design flaw inherant in radeon cards

I'd found nothing on the forums...

maybe the new CATALYST 3.8??

somebody with the same problem or just me??

Can't say I've heard of the problem before, but here's a couple suggestions:

- If you can, hook up the TV-out to another device and see how that works (another TV, or via a VCR or something)
- Update the drivers. Not sure if that will really do anything, but the 3.8s are pretty good anyway.
- Try the card in someone else's PC to see if it's the card.
