well I think it is possiable to diy ur 9600pro into 9600xt. just like ur 9500pro into 9700pro and it is worth a try since ati say the performance of 9600xt will be better than 9500pro.

Only thing different is the clock speeds and the onboard thermal sensors. Just overclock it a bit and you've got yourself an XT. -

The clock speed will make up for only having 4 pipelines and it will beat the 9500 Pro if you have it at 500mhz.Comment
