  • Crossfire question

Can 2 different cards be used in crossfire mode?
I have a Sapphire HD3870 installed currently. I also have a HD 2600 Pro just sitting on the shelf.
Can the two be used together and would it be worth it?

    Re: Crossfire question

Unless the rules for Crossfire have changed without me hearing about it, your two cards cannot be used together. While the cards do not have to be identical, they do have to be the same series. I use X1900XT and X1900XTX together with no problems. Newer driver may have addressed this, but if so I haven't heard about it.
