  • G4 MX 440 Fan has stopped moving.

I got this vid card off of ebay around christmas time. It has been great for me. Now the fan has been running really slow or not at all and its pretty hot inside my case now. If anyone knows what I can do about this please post. Thanks

No expert here but I think I'd be looking at getting another fan on that puppy real quick b4 you fry it! A new fan is a whole lot cheaper than a new video card. Am assuming that the fan is not all that tough to change on your card but I've been wrong before.
    Antec 900 case (4 120mm and 1 200mm lighted fans + UFO flashing light set + 2 12" and 1 6" Mutant Mods meteor lights) - Aerogate ll thermal controller - Asus M2N-e SLI - AMD 64 X2 AM2 6400+ - Corsair TX650 PSU - MSI 450GTS Cyclone OC - 2 X 2GB Patriot Extreme Performance PC2 6400 RAM - SATA 320 GB Seagate HD, SATA 300GB Maxtor HD and IDE 80 GB Samsung HD - Floppy Drive/Card Reader Combo - LG SuperMulti Lightscribe 18x DVD RW - Plextor PX-716A DVD r/rw - Windows 7 Home Premium 64

Crude but Effective ... it is a way of life.

Its very easy to change a video card fan as long as the one u buy is for that card:cheers:

Take the fan off, turn it over, peel the sticker and carefully put a very small drop of oil in the hole in the center then put the sticker back. That has worked for me on countless cards. (even new ones) Sometimes they need oil after a few days of use when new.
